Writing

I’ve always loved to write.

Growing up I was the kid who always wrote big stories for the Young Author’s Day events in my area.

It’s just who I am.

When Mustard Seed Year began the goal was to write a certain number of words each week on a Christian fiction novel.  As the year has progressed, that idea was taken away very quickly as God put other plans into place.

Currently, my biggest output is writing here and a few times a month on my other blog, JCWert.com.

I’ve written on various topics including (but not limited to):

  • Being the parent of a child with autism
  • Overcoming depression
  • Dealing with bullying growing up and thoughts of suicide
  • Divorce and remarriage
  • Facing challenges from God that seem overwhelming & keeping faith in Him
  • Healing the wounded in God’s Army…rather than shooting them
  • The times God seems to not be there

Anything that I’ve mentioned on my speaking page I could also write about and would be happy to do for your blog, magazine, newsletter or newspaper.

I also have a background in journalism having spent over 20 years in broadcasting.  I would be a tremendous asset to any Christian organization, relief organization or missions group who would like to generate articles and content for promotional brochures, fundraising letters or website content.

Here is an example of some of my work posted on JCWert.com:

Cullman, Alabama tornado damage

Natchez Trace Parkway & Tupelo, MS

I maintain a valid US passport for trips outside the USA.

If you would like to have me write a guest post for your blog or if you would like me to write an article for your publication, e-mail me at jason @ mustardseedyear.com and let’s discuss it.

(I do plan to write a book or two or three and some of them might even be the fiction novels I’ve outlined over the years.  God’s just made it clear that it’s not right now. :)  )
